As stated in my previous post I recently got a job, been spending the last couple of weeks getting into the Lundalogik way of things. We are in total ten trainees that are being brought in to the company, of which there are two application consultants, including me.
The first weeks we basically sat and listened to alot about what CRM is and how we should think about it, what the company stands for, and how we should behave now that we are working there.
The second and third week was all about cases and learning how one should work with customers.
The last two weeks have been all about learning visual basic and the object model that Lundalogik has built around it for customizing their Lime Application, and also about learning C# which is used in SSIS or when creating bigger product customizations.
I can truthfully saythat it’s really fun, I loved doing the cases and creating possible solutions, I’m however not getting along with VBA yet, and the minor differences between C# and Java are frustrating (I know Java like the back of my hand, but not C#), most of the frustration being because they are so similar but still have differences that can trip you up real good.
Best thing I learned today was that ctrl + . writes the correct “using” property at the begining (similar to Java’s import), something I have been googling every damn time so far and cursing at why it dident write it automactically like eclipse does for java.
The best part of it all is that in two weeks i become the project manager for two customers, I love it.
